Juan Parra Herrera

Abogado en ejercicio colegiado de los Ilustres Colegios de Madrid y Cádiz. Ejerce la Abogacía desde hace ya casi 30 años, habiendo recibido sus Bodas de Plata. Licenciado en Derecho- promoción de 1977- y en Ciencias del Trabajo por la Universidad de Granada. Máster en Derecho Penal Económico y Máster en Fiscalidad por el Instituto de Empresa I.E. Máster en  Derecho Comunitario por el IEE de la Universidad de Granada  y Máster en Derecho Urbanístico por el Instituto de Estudios Urbanísticos de la Universidad de Málaga. Especialista en Derecho Penal, Civil y Mercantil, Urbanismo y Suelo, ha desempeñado puestos en Consejos de Administración de Empresas Promotoras y de Inversión Patrimonial. Abogado de prestigiosas entidades bancarias, experto en negociación, mediaión civil y mercantil y arbitraje.

LLB; She graduated in law in 1998 at the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University CEU San Pablo in Madrid, with an average rating of Outstanding, and she scored eleven Distinction, after she had obtained her (GCSEs) and (A LEVELS) in England and Spain, after having an English-Spanish-International Baccalaureate.

She is University Expert  in European Law (1994-1999), and Commercial Contracts (1998) by University CEU San Pablo in Madrid, University Expert in Legal and Economic Studies of the European Union at the Complutense University in Madrid and she obtained above these LLM, the Diplome détudes supérieurs / DEA (DESUP Law and Economics of the European Union at the University of Paris I – Panthéon – Sorbonne, France in 1999.

She is University Expert in Banking and Capital and Stock ExchangeMarkets at the Centre for Studies and Research of The Madrid Bar Association since 2001, where she also studied a LLMaster at Private Law for the Legal Practice in 2002.

She took a LLM on International Maritime Law and Ports Administration and Management at the University of Cadiz. UCA-FUECA-APBA, where she attended to University specialist studies of Maritime Law and Taxation on Shipping and Customs until 2004.

In 2005 she attended to University specialization of Foreign Trade-IMBA at the EOI Business School-SEVILLA under a grant issued by FEDER- EXTENDA. EOI and Chamber of Commerce, Cadiz.

She has been a Senior Technician in International Cooperation by the Institute of Business Studies, Madrid- UNESCO since 2008, and took her Executive Expertise in Arbitral Practice by I.E.Instituto de Empresa, Madrid in 2009.

She holds a LLM degree in Civil and Commercial Mediation by Thomson Reuters-Aranzadi-Madrid since 2012 and a LLM in Labour, Civil and Commercial Mediation Law from the University of Alcalá de Henares in Madrid.

She also holds the University Executive Course of International Commercial Arbitration by the University CEU San Pablo in Madrid and the CIARB London required to become a Member Ciarb London Chartered International Arbitrator since 2014,  what she did in 2015 being currently a MCIArb London.

She has  successfully obtained her Professional Degree on Gibraltarian Legal Practice Competence at the University of Gibraltar and the Practical Skills Course by the University of Bristol U.K  which enables her to practice as a Chartered Solicitor and Barrister of the Supreme Court of Gibraltar.

She is currently a permanent researcher at the Chair of the Financial Markets Law at University CEU San Pablo in Madrid. She has academic papers and professional legal publications both at national and international levels in the areas of ADR-negotiation, mediation and arbitration / international Comercial arbitration and international Trade and contracting. She has been a visiting researcher at IALS Institute of Advanced Legal Studies University of London since 2014.

She is co-author of a book published by IAPEJ and Ed. Porrua Mexico in August 2014 titled “International Arbitration. Compared Study of North American, Mexican an Spanish International Arbitration Systems” .

She was a Fellow Scholar of the Department of Private Law at the Universidad CEU San Pablo in Madrid and Stagiaire individuelle at UNESCO, Paris, at the Division of International Legal Standards and Legal Normative Department, between 1999 and 2001. She was a University Lecturer in subjects such as Political Economy and Public Finance at the University of Cadiz, UCA until 2005 and speaker on the subjectInternational Trade and Contracting and International Commercial Arbitration at the  Institute of Public Administration of the State of Jalisco-IAPEJ / / IJA Institute of Alternative Justice of the Judiciary Department of the State of Jalisco MEXICO and Universidad San Pablo-CEU Madrid in 2010 and lecturer on the course “Institutional Arbitration”at the Advanced University Course in Arbitration taught by ARANZADI / Institute of European Studies IEE, and University CEU San Pablo in Madrid of Madrid in 2013.

She is presently a practicing lawyer and Barrister in Spain as a full member of the Cadiz and Madrid Bar Associations, where she was admitted since 1999, and practicing litigation since 2003. She is also a chartered International Solicitor, Counsel in Arbitration proceedings and a Chartered Civil and Commercial Mediator and M Ciarb UK.

She has held positions of legal senior responsibility in various Spanish companies and she has exercised legal practice and advice for a wide range of national and international companies non-profit associations NGOs, Public institutions and Private Firms.

She was the senior managing partner of PARRA&PARRA ABOGADOS, a long stablished family Law firm based in Spain, which had offices in Madrid-Sevilla-Cádiz-Campo de Gibraltar, Sotogrande and Marbella, Málaga and where she also conducted the division of its international expansion in International Arbitration, with legal strategic alliances in Mexico and UE. She now collaborates part time as a senior partner compatibilising together with her own firm ROSARIO PARRA HOLISTIC LEGAL, dealing with international Private law, real state, ADR, and contracting, focusing on cross border Law Spain- Gibrltar-Uk /Spain-Morocco and Mexico-Spain-United States.

She is a Senior Solicitor and Counsel, specialized in the professional practice of Private-Civil and Commercial- Law which she conducts nationally and internationally, focused in contracting Law, national and international trade, and Litigation in those matters, as well as in Arbitration Defense and Counseling, ADR-Mediation and Arbitration (Civil and Commercial,Domestic and International),Real State investments  Exports and Foreign Trade.

Besides her native language, Spanish, she holds official certificates of, and is fluent in English, French and German languages which she conducts in the daily practice of her profession.
